Tom entertains and inspires the crowd.
Summer breezes wafted the scent of barbecue and burgers down the street as more than 30 supporters gathered at our Neighborhood Barbecue, graciously hosted by Lynne and Deane Clark of Springfield. The enthusiasm was contagious as volunteers stood up to act as precinct captains – stepping up to volunteer to go door to door to get the word out about our campaign.
This campaign is now and will always be about the people who live in Springfield, Morton, Marple and Radnor – not about Harrisburg push-and-pull. We pledge to knock on every door and reach every voter we can to let them know that our campaign will fight for them. For their health, for their education, for the environment we all share and for the kind of government that puts their interests first.
Tom also asked everyone to reach out to their friends and neighbors for their support. Ours is a first of its kind campaign in this district; we need all the financial support we can get. The same kind of donations that people make to the Congressional races or Presidential campaigns are what we need as well. To compete, this is a reality and we need people to do all they can.
Most of all though, we enjoyed some excellent food (thank you to Bruce Bikin), and good company as folks seemed to enjoy Tom's tales of Adventures in Door Knocking (1,934 and counting!). We are looking forward to seeing you at our next campaign event July 27th and at the 4th of July parade this week!

Volunteers are essential.

Discussing the issues - How do we get the word out?

We all need to work together for change!
